Christmas

Christmas is truly one of my favourite times of the year! This year my entire family and my sisters husband was gathered. His parents came to visit shortly as well. We had an awesome and chill-day just being at home, not even going to grannys house this year. It was very pleasent. :)

Jule-tid är verkligen en av mina favorittider under hela året! I år så var hela min familj och även min systers man samlade. Hans föräldrar kom också förbi en stund. Vi hade en awesome och chill dag hemma, åkte inte ens till farmor i år, eftersom det kunnat bli lite trångt i deras nya lägenhet. Men det var hursomhelt en väldigt mysig dag. :)

 After a big christmas-dinner we are of course obligated to eat loads and loads and loads of candy. Yum. // Efter julmat måste man såklart äta massor och massor med godis. Yum.

 They stole my spot in the sofa.. :( // De snodde min plats i soffan.. :(

We have a tradition in Sweden that we every year at 3pm watch someone introduce our all shows with lighting a candle and then watch "Donuld Duck and his friends celebrating christmas", which is basically just a bunch of small clips with donald duck, ferdinand, mickey mouse, snowwhite and a few others in a certain combination, and we watch the same ones every single year. Its awesome. In my family, and in many others as well, we also watch something called "Karl-Bertil Jonssons julafton" at 7pm and its a swedish cartoon from the 70s. And oh my how I love it!

 After Karl-Bertil we read the christmas-story in the bible and then its presents-time! // Efter Karl-Bertil så läser vi julevangeliet och sedan är det present-dags.

 Vicky got to play santa this year! // Vicky fick vara tomte i år!

 We finished the night with playing "hissa och dissa"; a parlour game mom and dad got from me // Vi avslutade kvällen med att spela Hissa och dissa, ett sällskapsspel som mamma och pappa fick från mej.

So grateful for another awesome holiday, love my family! (: // Så tacksam för ännu en awesome julhelg., älskar min familj! (:

Dan före dopparedan

In Sweden we do not only have the 24th and 25th as "red days", but also the 26th. We celebrate most of our holiday on the 24th, and yes we open our gifts that day too, nightime though. And then we usually chill, hang with friends or occasionally go to some kind of christmas-party at the 25th and 26th.
We also have a name for the 23rd even tho its not a day off from work and so on. We basically just bake, cook, clean, wrap presents and at night-time, watch a live-show called bingolotto.We call the day "dan före dopparedan", translated kind of like "the day before".

Dan före dopparedan spenderades som alltid med att städa, baka, laga mat, slå in presenter och till kvällen, Bingolotto såklart!

I have soo many pictures with my trying to be in their picture, but the always continued to make sure I couldnt. Of course when they finally allowed me it became blurry... // Har så sjukt många bilder när jag försöker få vara i deras bild, men de fortsatte att se till att jag inte blev med. När de tillslut tillät mej så blev den såklart suddig...
