Sri Lanka

I just got back from an aaamazing trip in Sri Lanka and I have at least five blog posts to come with pictures ans stories from it. It was my second time in Sri Lanka and in Asia and I had the best time ever!

I've realised I literally only blog when I travel, lol, I guess because it's the time I only have interesting pictures to post because the only ones I take when I'm at home are church-related or ugly snapchat-selfeis, lol, oh well!

Kom precis hem från en underbar resa till Sri Lanka och jag har en massa att visa och berätta om. Det var min andra gång i Sri Lanka och det var såå himla roligt! 

Insett att jag bara bloggar när jag reser hehe, antar att det är för att jag har brist på intressanta grejer att lägga ut om när jag är hemma, och speciellt inga intressanta bilder förutom kyrk-relaterade eller fula snapchat-selfies, haha

This is the very first picture taken of our team! We were five people from my church and five from a church in Enköping! In this last photo we had just arrived in Sri Lanka after two long flights over and we were all tired, sweaty and hungry and barely knew each other at all at this point. And there were about 5-6hours in the car awaiting and then straight to a campaign night. It's safe to say the first 24hours were the roughest haha. But I think it wasn't all bad because the group got really close really quick, and I think it was because we had no choice with the intense schedule the first two days. It's weird thinking I didn't know them at all just about two weeks ago.

Första bilden tagen på vårt team! Vi var fem från min kyrka och fem från en kyrka in Enköping! I denna bild så hade vi precis landat och kommit fram så vi kände inte varann alls här. Men efter detta åkte vi några timmar i bilen och sedan direkt till kampanjen, och därefter fortsatte ett pressat schema i ett par dagar. Tror att det var positivt för gjorde att vi lärde känna varenda väldigt snabbt, och att vi blev väldigt nära. Är nästan knäppt att tänka att man inte kände dem alls för bara några veckor sen.

The campaign we were involved in was hosted by the Mission one eleven students from our church so it was so much fun to see Oskar and Bea again, and in action doing all their missionary work!

Kampanjen hölls av Mission one eleven eleverna från min kyrka så det var såå kul att få träffa Bea och Oskar igen och se dem i action med all mission de gör!

This pic is blurry but I had to post anyways because of the man the left. He is honestty just about as cute as the kids, if not even more, as the kids. Happiness goals, haha!

Some pictures from the campaign. Never experienced anything quite like it before, it was amazing and Gods presence was so evident. Loved it!!

Some more nature + Bea...being Bea haha. But look how green it is!! It was honestly so beautiful everywhere you turn. Truly one of the most beautiful countries ever of the ones I've visited so far!

Mer vacker grön natur och weirdot Bea being Bea, haha. Men asså wow, det är verkligen så otroooligt vackert överallt i detta land!

Slåttedalsberget

Another day, another hike! While I was in the north my friends and I definitely tried to take advantage of our time and make every day an adventure, so we hiked up to another mountain in the area! It was a cloudy day, but it almost made it more perfect cause the air felt so fresh and it made the forest feel so cosy and calm. And since we got so warm, sweaty and gross anyways, we didn't mind a little rain and some cold winds!

Vi försökte ta vara på varje dag när vi var i Norrland och försökte åka på olika äventyr hela tiden. Så en av dagarna vandrade vi upp på slåttedalsberget! Var så himla fint och mysigt hela vägen upp, och att det var molnigt och lite regnigt gjorde det nästan bara skönt eftersom man blev så varm!

 So this is a really famous part of it, Slåttedalsskrevan! We were quite disappointed by it and didn't seem to get the hype that we've heard about it, so we kind of quickly just passed by it and went straight up to the mountain instead. And on the way down afterwards we had seen rain on the way so we hurried on the way back down towards the car; and much later on we realised we had only seen a little part of it. It's much longer and has the "cooler" and bigger entrance on the other side up to the mountain, LOL....whoops... Ohwell! A new opportunity next year hahaha

Slåttedalsskrevan är en känd del i dessa skogar, och när vi kom dit så var vi lite besvikna och tyckte den kändes så liten. Så vi drog oss direkt upp till berget istället och njöt av utsikten där istället. När vi hade fikat och fotat klart däruppe så skyndade vi oss sedan ner för att vi såg att det var på väg en massvis med regn åt vårt håll. Vi insåg senare att det var ett stort misstag för hade vi gått ner i lugn och ro hade vi insett att man kan komma upp på berget från ett annat håll och det var även där den "coolare" och större delen av slåttedalsskrevan var... LOL.. oops..., nåväl, får försöka igen nästa år hahaha

About two minutes after this photo was taken of me I ran to catch up with the others and my foot fell right into some hole and I got stuck hahah. It really hurt and I couldn't get my foot out, and it completely freaked me out and yelled for them to help me cause I thought I felt a snake. Turned out it was just mud and no snakes and with the help of Sophie I finally got my foot out, thank the Lord. The worst part though? I accidentally filmed the whole thing... LOL. Not my finest moment and I feel like this video is going to haunt me in the future hahaha. 

Ungefär två minuter efter den här bilden togs så började jag springa ikapp de andra och när jag höll på att göra det så fastnade min fot helt plötsligt i ett hål haha... Det gjorde svinont och jag kunde inte få loss foten, så jag fick värsta paniken och skrek till dem att hjälpa mig, mestadels för att jag fick för mig att det fanns ormar i hålet. Visade sig att det bara var en massa lera, lol, och med Sophies hjälp fick jag loss foten. Haha... Den värsta delen? Jag råkade filma hela grejen... LOL.. Inte mitt bästa ögonblick i livet, hahaha. Kul minne iallafall. Och förövrigt en påminnelse att aldrig lita på ett fält av Ljung.

This day was a whole lot of fun filled with a whole lot of regrets and laughs. Thankful for crazy hikes and for good friends!

Så många misstag och fails gjordes denna dagen, men så underbar var den! 

Rotsidan

Another beautiful place we visited in the north right by the sea! So peaceful and beautiful! We did go swimming in the sea once while we were there and ohhh gosh it was cold. However worth it in the end, basically it became fun when our bodies became numb, lol. Worth it though; can't go a summer without a swim in the sea!

Ett annat fint ställe vi åkte till i Norrland var Rotsidan precis bredvid havet. Så vackert och så fridfullt! Vi badade en gång medan vi var där, och fyy vad kallt det var. Var hemskt de första tio minuterna, alltså ungefär tills hela kroppen domnat bort, och då blev det skönt, haha. Men trots kylan var det fett värt det ändå; kan ju inte gå en sommar utan att bada i havet!
